Netflix Duo: Music Meets Movies

In collaboration with two of my classmates during our Master’s program, we conceptualized a new service for Netflix called Netflix Duo. This service combines both audio and video streaming into a single, affordable package, providing users with a seamless entertainment experience across multiple devices. As part of our project, we designed a comprehensive communication campaign, focusing on the versatility, accessibility, and affordability of Netflix Duo.

Objectives:

Product Introduction: Introduce Netflix Duo as a new, innovative service that integrates both streaming audio and video content.
Highlight Accessibility: Emphasize the affordability of Netflix Duo, making high-quality entertainment accessible to a wider audience.
Device Compatibility: Showcase the versatility of Netflix Duo, demonstrating its availability across various devices such as smartphones, tablets, laptops, and desktops. This is shown in the poster.

Target Audience:

Our primary target audience includes:

Young Professionals: Individuals aged 18-35 who are tech-savvy and regularly consume digital content.
Students: University students who are budget-conscious but desire access to a diverse range of entertainment options.
Content Enthusiasts: People who enjoy both music and video streaming, seeking a unified service that caters to both interests.

Campaign Components:

Poster Design:

-Visual Elements: The poster prominently features the Netflix Duo logo, accompanied by images of diverse individuals enjoying the service on various devices. This visual narrative underscores the flexibility and user-friendly nature of the service.

-Device Representation: Multiple device screens are shown, reinforcing the message that Netflix Duo is available on any device, anytime, anywhere.

-Tagline: "Fun for Everyone" serves as a powerful and inclusive slogan, conveying that the service is not only affordable but also designed for a broad demographic.

Video Montage:

Dynamic Presentation: The video montage I created further emphasizes the dual nature of the service, alternating between scenes of users listening to music and watching video content.

Call to Action: The montage concludes by showcasing the three Netflix Duo subscription plans:

-Free Plan: Basic access with standard audio and video quality.

-Premium Plan ($5/month): 1080p video, two accounts, ad-free.

-Premium+ Plan ($13/month): 4K video, four accounts, ad-free.

Challenges & Solutions:

Challenge: Differentiating Netflix Duo in a competitive market dominated by specialized streaming services.
Solution: By merging two popular forms of entertainment into one service, Netflix Duo offers a unique value proposition. The affordability aspect further distinguishes it from competitors, appealing to price-sensitive consumers.
